Snap to grid is a characteristic in Premiere Professional that means that you can align objects exactly on the timeline. This may be useful for creating correct edits, resembling lining up a number of clips or including transitions. To snap to grid, merely choose the objects you need to align after which click on the “Snap to Grid” button within the toolbar. You can even use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+G (Home windows) or Cmd+G (Mac) to toggle snap to grid on or off.
There are a couple of completely different grid settings you could select from. The default setting is “Pixels,” which is able to snap objects to the closest pixel. You can even select to snap to frames, seconds, or minutes. To vary the grid settings, click on the “Grid Settings” button within the toolbar.
