The band’s identify is pronounced “krung-bin.” It’s a Thai phrase which means “airplane.” The band selected the identify as a result of they wished a reputation that will replicate their sound, which is a mix of Thai and American influences. Khruangbin’s music has been described as “a cinematic mix of surf rock, dub, and Thai funk.” The band has launched three albums, the most recent of which is “Con Todo El Mundo” (2018).
