A parasitic draw is a situation through which {an electrical} machine continues to attract energy from a battery even when the machine is turned off. This will result in a drained battery and issue beginning the car. There are a couple of easy steps that may be taken to check for a parasitic draw.
First, disconnect the destructive terminal of the battery. Then, join a multimeter between the destructive terminal of the battery and the destructive cable. The multimeter must be set to the 10-amp scale. If the multimeter reads a present draw of greater than 50 milliamps, there’s a parasitic draw.
